A particularly harsh, and large, spate of weather has been pummeling much of the Eastern half of the country, with recent incidents affecting residents as far north as Wisconsin and Michigan and all the way down to Georgia and Alabama, even stretching westward into Texas.

In response to the continuing hot, dry weather conditions throughout Missoula, the Fire Protection Association raised the fire danger to EXTREME in all areas of the county today.This marks a move from VERY HIGH and is a measure of how dynamic Montana’s fire conditions are during the summer
