The City of Hamilton is again budgeting $2,500 for a public fireworks display July 4th of 2012.
Mayor Jerry Steele said the same account was opened last year and only a last minute large donation allowed the display to happen
Lots of folks have traditions they follow every year. And the July 4th weekend usually sees quite a few. Reunions are popping up, trips to favorite campsites are planned, huge meals in the backyard with every family member in a four-state area are attempted, and Crazy Uncle Louie has a secret stash of M-80s that make things fly incredible distances
Forget about the dawn's early light, this Fourth of July is all about the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air and maybe even a couple of spiders. Those are the ones that, well, look kind of like a spider, anyway.
In order to have a "bang-up" fireworks display in Hamilton on the 4th of July, the community needs to raise some money. The City of Hamilton was successful last year in getting things rolling with a donation and is repeating the offer this year
