Forest Service crews will be replacing a culvert on a road in the south end of the Bitterroot Valley next week.

It’s No Picnic

Vandals caused an estimated $15,000 damage to concrete-and-wood picnic tables at Lake Como over the weekend. Bitterroot National Forest Public Affairs Officer Tod McKay said the tables, weighing about 500 pounds each, were overturned Saturday night or Sunday morning

There’s A Summer Place…

It's one of the best views of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness in Montana. The Forest Service lookout at the top of St Mary Peak west of Stevensville will be staffed by volunteers this summer. The Bitterroot National Forest and the Selway-Bitterroot Foundation are looking for volunteers who will live at the lookout for up to 4 weeks at a time
