Firefighter Killed In Idaho Forest Fire
The US Forest Service has identified a firefighter killed in an Idaho wildfire Sunday as Anne Veseth, age 20, a seasonal firefighter for the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest.
Veseth, as native of Moscow, Idaho and a sophomore at Lewis and Clark State College In Lewiston, was apparently struck by a falling tree or debris

Chrandal Fire is 1,300 Acres
The Chrandal Creek Forest Fire is the first major fire in the Bitterroot National Forest this season.
The fire started by lightning and was detected Saturday, July 7.
The fire was about 10 acres at first, but a combination of weather factors caused the blaze to swell to over 1,300 acres
