US Forest Service Northern Region Gets History Prize

The 2012 Award for Achievement in Historic Preservation went to the Northern Region of the US Forest Service, headquartered in Missoula.

The award recognized the Region's Heritage Stewardship Enhancement program that since 2004 has made available almost $2 million to fund over 120 programs

Forest Service Northern Region Has New Director of Recreation, Lands

George Bain started work this week for the Northern Region of the US Forest Service.

Bain, who was the Forest Service's 2012 "Federal Land Manager of the Year," is the new Director of Recreation, Lands, Minerals, Heritage and Wilderness for the Northern Region of the Forest Service
