As difficult as it can be to talk 'Downton Abbey' considering the extensive delay between seasons aired in the UK and in America (UK having seen the series 3 Christmas special, while we've only just started series 3), any TV fan knows that not every character is long for this world. In particular, Dame Maggie Smith has always been seen as a potential casualty from season to season, but it seems the Dowager Countess will indeed be back for season 4! ‘Downton Abbey’ Season 4 May Air Early In the U.S.
Even though U.S. viewers love their 'Downton Abbey,' the U.K's ITV gets to show the award-winning socialite series months before it crosses the ocean. For instance, 'Downton Abbey's third season wrapped in the U.K. weeks ago, while Americans won't even see the premiere until January 6! All that may change for the recently-commissioned fourth series, as PBS is considering a deal that would allow the respective countries' premiere dates to fall much closer, but what factors may get in the way?
‘Sherlock’ Series 3 May Not Air Until 2014
We sure hope mystery fans have been enjoying the inaugural season of CBS' 'Elementary,' because that might be the only 'Sherlock' fix they have for awhile. While British series typically take longer to produce and air, particularly those with such prolific stars as Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, new reports suggest that a third series of cult favorite 'Sherlock' may not air until late 2013, or even 2014 at the latest. What can we deduce is the cause of such a dastardly wait?

Anybody who's been to YouTube quickly becomes cynical about the future of the human race, particularly when you read the comments to... well... any video. But this PBS video argues that YouTube actually makes you smarter by lowering barriers to learning about literally any topic. And we have to admit, they've got a point.
