More Dam Work Ahead

Workers will be repairing the Tin Cup Dam, a 1906 structure in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness west of Darby, Montana.
Crews will start the project August 1st and will repair the embankment and modify the dam's spillway

Paradise Is A Little Farther Away

Sections of the Nez Perce Trail Road and Forest Road #6223 will be closed beginning August 8th so that the Indian Creek Bridge can be replaced.
Bitterroot National Forest Public Affairs Officer Tod McKay said that the closure should last about two weeks, with some minor delays for another two weeks

A dedication to the late Doris Milner of Hamilton will take place Saturday, June 18 up the West Fork of the Bitterroot.
She was dedicated to the preservation of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and provided major support of adding the Magruder Corridor to wilderness and also helped establish the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness
