Earlier today we saw NBC delivering the first full trailer for its upcoming 'Constantine' adaptation, but the network had plenty more to give in advance of the Upfront presentation tomorrow. Not only has NBC set the basic structure of its fall lineup, breaking up its Thursday comedy lineup and keeping 'Parks and Recreation' on the bench for the moment, but the network has also released full trailers for its other offerings, including Katherine Heigl CIA drama 'State of Affairs,' and 'HIMYM' alum Cristin Milioti's 'A to Z.'
Big names popping by 'SNL' for brief appearances stopped being surprising a long time ago, but there's something really special about Barbara Walters stopping by Weekend Update. Maybe it's because Walters (with her 50 year television career) is a much bigger deal than a flavor-of-the-minute celebrity. Maybe it's because she's obviously a really good sport about how 'SNL' has mocked her over the years. In any case, it's an oddly sweet and weird scene in a season of the celebrated variety program that's pulled out all of the stops when it comes to being sweet and weird.
In addition to announcing that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.has been renewed for a second season (rumor had it the show was on the bubble after a rocky start -- or at least a rocky year of CA recaps), they're also promising a new series based on Peggy Carter, the British spy played by Hayley Atwell in Captain America: The First Avenger. She'll retain the role in the new series, and it'll share a title with the Marvel "One-Shot" included in the Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray package,Agent Carter.
Although it's understandable to assume that hardcore football fans aren't the greatest dancers in the world -- they value other athletic skills, after all -- it seems that hypothesis might not be exactly correct. Well, unless 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon explicitly instructed his 'Questions and Danswers' minion Arthur to only find awesome dancers for the latest entry of the segment, aimed at targeting NFL fans and chatting them up about what their teams need to grab in the draft. You know, while dancing.
James Franco is, to put it diplomatically, a bit of an odd duck. Sure, he's a very talented guy -- and one who has never balked at using his talents across a wide range of professions -- but he's also kind of a weirdo in plenty of situations, especially as they apply to social media. And David Letterman is not having it.
Just hours after being officially ordered to series, FOX's Batman prequel drama 'Gotham' has delivered its first official trailer, reintroducing Dark Knight fans to young incarnations of James Gordon and Bruce Wayne, along with such Bat-figures as Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman and even Poison Ivy. See how Batman begins anew with the first trailer for 'Gotham' right now!
Just like 'Gilligan's Island,' fellow Nick at Nite rerun classic 'Green Acres' is also getting the big screen adaptation treatment ... as well as a Broadway production, courtesy of director Richard L. Bare, a frequent director on the original series and a man who obviously didn't take Elsa's advice in 'Frozen.'
It's safe to say that Diane Keaton doesn't understand the mechanics of beer pong, or perhaps she does and just decided to troll 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon -- hard -- with a spin on one of his very favorite games. After all, Keaton already spent her visit to the show to lecture Fallon on how to make his self-professed "beady" eyes look more alive, so she's clearly not opposed to some good-natured ribbing.
