This summer, the Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks, along with other agencies and the University of Montana are taking a survey of river users on the Bitterroot River.

In some places, UM students will be doing the survey in person, but in most access areas, the "Floater Self Registration" boxes are available.

These are not just for those on commercially guided float trips. Comments are needed from everyone - even the family that just grabbed some innertubes for quick cool-off and the guy who's using a "Water Otter" to float and fish. Did you have a good time, or a bad experience? Is there something you'd like improved?

There's only a couple of questions and the responses will help the agencies improve the floating experiences. This is your chance to make a difference.
