You don't have to be an athlete to wear a kilt.
In fact, you don't have to wear a kilt to celebrate National Tartan Day April 6th.

The Bitterroot Scottish Irish Cultural Association is celebrating the day at Blacksmith Brewing with a pine night during Stevensville's First Friday activities.

The day is in honor of the Declaration of Arbroath, April 6, 1320, when leaders of clans showed their support of Robert the Bruce and declared Scotland's independence from English rule.

The order of the day (at least at Blacksmith Brewing) will be kilts, t-shirts, banners, family tartans , flag decals, and maybe a bagpipe or two. The Association, of course, want you to mark your calendar for the annual Bitterroot Scottish Irish Festival August 24-26 at Hamilton's Daly Mansion grounds. Check out their website.
