The Wolves Got Away, Montana Hunting Quota Not Met
Wolf season ended yesterday for Montana and along with the last day of hunting came the news that Montana failed to meet its wolf hunt quota.
Chief of Communication for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Ron Aasheim spoke with KGVO News about this year’s hunt and what might be different when hunters go back into the woods next year.

Hunting area 210, which includes Missoula and extends south through the Bitterroot Valley, reported the most kills of any area in the state with 25, but even it fell short of hitting its quota of 36. Due to the failure to meet quota, experts expect there to be more wolves next year.
