Hamilton's premiere summertime event - Daly Days - takes over the town July 22 and 23. The fun starts Friday with vendors and businesspeople setting up on the sidewalks and streets of downtown Hamilton and the highly entertaining rock n roll group The Bop-A-Dips will take us through the history of rock at a Friday night street dance. $5 admission to that.
Saturday, the Bitterrodders Car Club will have a car show with great prizes on the first block of Main Street. Local artists will be displaying their work in Art in the Park at Legion Park on south 2nd Street. The Bitterroot Kiwanis will have a pancake breakfast at Bell McCall, the Farmers Market will be on Bedford until noon, and will make way for the Bitterroot Brewfest in the afternoon with more music into the evening. The Hamilton Soroptomists will be announcing which of the Ravalli County Commissioners will "Kiss The Pig" on Main Street in the afternoon, and the Daly Mansion will be filled with historic tours and re-enactors.
That's just part of the fun. We'll be there in the middle of everything -- with our squirt guns to fight off the desperados from the Chamber of Commerce.
