The warm weather this week has been rapidly melting the record snowfall from the weekend.

In Victor, the water has been flowing from west to east and, in places, has run across city streets and has collected in yards, next to house foundations.

The Ravalli County Office of Emergency Management and the Victor Volunteer Fire Department are making sandbags available at the fire station next to the Victor Park.

In fact, some of the water problems are less than a block away from the fire department.

Ron Nicholas, in a news release, said flooding has occurred in other areas of the valley, often with water running over roads. He said that fire departments throughout the valley have sandbags available for possible flooding problems. He said that, so far, creeks and rivers have not shown signs of flooding, as of Thursday.
