For the next year, Mariah Rys-Sikora will be Miss Rodeo Montana. Mariah, age 20 from Missoula, competed in Great Falls in the four-day competition and won the title Sunday morning.

Five contestants in both the Queen and Teen competitions demonstrated their horseback skills, gave a speech about Montana, modeled in a style show, answered impromptu questions and were quizzed on horsemanship and rodeo topics. They also had private interviews with the judges.

Mariah takes the crown from Lorissa Harris of Shepherd and will be a goodwill ambassador for Montana and Professional Rodeo.

Winning Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2012 was Jennika O'Neil, age 17, of Raynesford. She is a senior at Belt High School. Also competing was Stevensville's Amber Powell.
