Not many people have seen "Exorcist 3," which is an uneven movie, yet has a great cast - Brad Dourif, George C. Scott, Nicol Williamson and, back from the first movie, Jason Miller. The production was written and directed by the original Exorcist writer William Peter Blatty.
The film is not high on many lists, but there's a scene in a mental hospital which sends chills up your spine. It begins with a view from down a hallway toward a nurses' station. Not much goin' on, nobody walkin' around, very quiet.....until....
The short little scene is not gory, but has stuck with me as one of the great "chills" in the movies. I've seen still photos of it on the internet, but that's cheating. It's a great "gotcha."
Tomorrow, I take "Shining" to the next scene.
