Five juveniles from the Bitterroot Valley have confessed to vandalizing the campground at Lake Como south of Hamilton.
Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor Julie King said in a news release that a tip called in to 1-800-TIP-MONT helped Forest Service law officers make the identification of those responsible for damaging, and in one case, destroying, picnic tables at Como March 25th.
Officers said the juveniles have all confessed and will be required to make restitution for the damages. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
Federal Privacy Act prohibits releasing the names of the kids, according to Bitterroot National Forest officials.
