Vandals Shoot Bolin Conservation Sign Again
The the second time in 18 months, the Bolin Ranch Conservation Easement sign near Stevensville has been shot by vandals.
Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks warden Captain Joe Jaquith said the sign at the upper parking lot was shot repeatedly (see photo) during the first part of October. The easement area is east of Stevensville along the Sapphire Mountains.
He said in a news release that the easement is in place to conserve the land and wildlife and provide public access to private property.
Bart Morris, the FWP Access Coordinator for west central Montana, said that the such incidents threaten future cooperation with private landowners.
