Hamilton High School's gym was full of students and veterans at a Veterans Day tribute November 11.

The celebration, which started years ago at Daly Elementary School, has outgrown that school and was moved to the Hamilton High School gym. Daly Elementary principal Eric Larson was Master of Ceremonies of the morning commemoration with students from kindergarten through high school participating in song.

Short speeches were made by Dan Kimsey of the school district and David Bedey of the school board. And the kids were taught - all together - how to properly salute, which they did in honor of the veterans who attended.

Veterans represented all services and from World War II to present day. After "Taps" was played, veterans were invited to high school commons area for refreshments and conversation.
