This week, the hot mix is being put down on the remaining section of new four-lane highway between Victor and Hamilton.

There are reduced speeds and short delays between Mile Marker 56.3 to 58.6, which is generally from two miles north of Woodside to about a mile south of Victor

The Montana Department of Transportation told motorists to expect delays up to 5 minutes and reduced speed to 35 miles per hour in the paving areas.

I've driven through the construction a couple of times now, and the delays are very short.

This is the last section of the long-delayed, years-long transformation of the old two-lane US 93 highway between Hamilton and Missoula. Cold weather shut down the paving last fall and after approaches are paved and striping is done, it looks like all that will be left to do is the rock chip-seal this summer.
