A public hearing on this year's hunting regulations is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, in Hamilton.

Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks officials will hold the meeting at the Bitterroot River Inn so the public can examine, discuss and comment on proposed rules for hunters in the 2018-2019 hunting seasons.

Spokesperson Vivaca Crowser said the regulations cover all hunting seasons, including deer, elk, antelope, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, bison, black bear, mountain lion, wolf, turkey, upland and migratory birds.

The rules are available online at the FWP Website. Scroll down the page to see the individual proposals.

You can also submit comments at the FWP Wildlife Division, PO Box 200701, Helena MT 59620 and address it "Attn: hunting season proposals." Comments are due by January 24th.
