The snow conditions really don't matter to these athletes - they'd come to Lost Trail no matter what, because it's the Winter Special Olympics.

The competition is fierce, the excitement is contagious and the smiles never end at the Winter Special Olympics at Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Area.

The 2014 event will be January 28 and Jan 29, and as always, organizers can always use more volunteers. No winter sports skills are required. There's plenty you can do without strapping on a pair of skis or even stepping outside the lodge.

The folks who are responsible for this event every year have lots of experience and they always encourage "novice" volunteers to come on up one day or both days. As they say, "the days are filled with more smiles and hugs than you'll get in a year!"

Call Carla at (406) 363-3028 or Tavia at (406) 381-0770 to volunteer. And don't make 'em wait until the last minute. Volunteer this week!
