Volunteer Training Planned for Hospice
Marcus Daly Hospice Services in Hamilton is planning their regular training for hospice volunteers.
Their motto is ‘give the last, best gift’ to comfort patients and families facing the end of life. Over 50 volunteers in the Bitterroot Valley donated more than 2,000 hours to Marcus Daly Hospice last year.
The training is in two-hour segments on Wednesday evening during January. The first session will be January 8th at 6 p.m. and last class will be January 29. Topics include philosophy of hospice, regulations relating to personal boundaries and self-care. The Hospice Center is part of the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital at 1200 Westwood Drive in Hamilton.
