This is another space photo from the International Space Station. Your view is looking east across Montana, along the High Line, into North Dakota. The cities are nicely labelled, and that grey snaky thing in the middle is Ft Peck Reservoir.
The astronauts took the shot at night, of course, in October this year. The huge cluster of lights around Williston, ND are from .... not farms.... no, no, no. It's oil drilling rigs. That's what an oil boom looks like from space.
