Starting Monday, July 18, the Ravalli County Road and Bridge Department will tearing into the West Side Road west of Hamilton. The plan is to widen the road with 12-foot driving lanes and 2-foot shoulders between Owings Creek Road and West Bridge, with the segment between Wyant Lane and West Bridge road also including curbs and gutters. Another segment will be reconstructed north of Roaring Lion Road with 11-foot driving lanes and 2-foot shoulders.
The County commissioners approved the $850,000 project with WGM Group of Missoula designing the project.
Traffic delays are expected, but officials assure local residents that they will have access and, of course, emergency vehicles will always be accommodated.
