Western Montana Country Showdown Winner – Melissa Harris

The Bitterroot Valley’s Melissa Harris rose above 9 other entries in Saturday’s Texaco Country Showdown to win the competition.
The singing talent search was held at the Rustic Hut in Florence Saturday afternoon, and after about 3 hours of singing, the judges voted Harris as the winner. She sang solo with her “old guitar.”
Melissa wins a cash prize and is entered as the Western Montana entrant in the Montana Showdown at State Fair in Great Falls July 27 and 28.
As a long time staple of the Montana State Fair, the Texaco Country Showdown will once again visit the 3 Rivers Stage. The state’s top vocalists compete for a chance at the national finals.
The Rustic Hut, Bud Light, Townsquare Media and 94.9 KYSS-FM sponsored the Florence competition.
