Thursday afternoon, a wildland fire was reported southwest of Dillon, north of Clark Canyon Reservoir.

Leona Rodreick of the Dillon Interagency Dispatch Center reported that the fire - burning in grass and brush - was seen at about 2 p.m. Thursday on the east side of Interstate 15. It's called the Hanneberry Cabin fire and was at 20 acres Thursday afternoon when crews arrived. Four hours later it was 31 acres and 60 percent contained.

Seven engines, 45 people and 2 helicopters responded to the blaze and firefighters were establishing a fireline around the fire.

Travelers on I-15 are advised to use caution. The road is NOT closed. The Union Pacific Railroad, however, temporarily halted train traffic in the area.

The Bureau of Land Management, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and the Lima and Dillon Volunteer Fire Departments are assisting.
