Winners’ Photos Are on Display at Ravalli County Museum
The ribbons have been put in place on the winning entries at the Ernst Peterson “Photograph Montana” Contest.
The record-setting 450 entries are on display at the Ravalli County Museum’s second floor Old Courtroom, along with many photos from the legendary Bitterroot photographer Ernst Peterson. The late photographer’s main collection is stored at the Hamilton museum.
Mel Holloway won Best in Show and a total of four awards for his entries. Emily Birse picked up two awards in the Youth category for her photos of flowers. The museum will have another late opening Thursday evening, with a free showing of another in the Harry Potter series to go along with their Hogwarts display of science and magic.
