The Moon is a spectacular sight when it rises above the mountains of Montana.

This photo by Mike Daniels was taken about a day after the January full moon in the northern Bitterroot Valley. He reports that the space photography session was limited by the below-zero conditions.

Astronomers are expecting some Northern Lights activity Tuesday or Wednesday. However, we're expecting quite a few clouds in Western Montana the next few days.

And here's a good thing - higher temperatures. It might even be above freezing during the day this week. The Missoula office of the National Weather Service is predicting daytime highs in the 40s in the Hamilton area.
