A Proper Book for for the Season
If it's "Good Night, Moon," then "Good Morning, Snowplow" isn't that much of a stretch, especially this week in snowy Western Montana. Shawn Wathen said the children's book was the only possible candidate for today's Book of the Day at Hamilton's Chapter One Book Store. Plenty of snowplows have been busy trying to deal with the record amounts of the white stuff ... with the possibility of more. Jigsaw puzzles are good for indoor winter activity and Mara at Chapter One mentioned a free "Jigsaw Puzzle Swap" Wednesday, February 27, at 5 p.m. The only rule when you bring in your puzzles to trade - no missing pieces. Just look out for the snowplows on your way to town.
For those who are not venturing out in the winter, the Bitterroot Public Library is also open to help replenish your reading material. The Friends of the Bitterroot Public Library are having a "Book Giveaway Extravaganza" Friday and Saturday. Yes, it's free. The support group of Hamilton's library have an annual fall book sale, but they already have too many books for the event. So, they're giving them away, Friday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The giveaway will be in the downstairs meeting room of the library on State Street in Hamilton.
