Just before noon Sunday, Ravalli County Public Health reported a positive test for COVID-19 in a man aged 50-60. Incident Information Officer Dixie Dies reported the "rapid test" of a man who was having COVID-19 symptoms brought a positive result. The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services in Helena will be making a confirmation test. Ravalli County health officials said the man is currently in isolation. Identified contacts are in quarantine.

The mid-morning May 17 update from DPHHS had reported no new positive tests since Saturday, but this result came in after that report was prepared. Public Health Office is handling public questions about the coronavirus at 375-6672.
