Three new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the Monday Ravalli County update from Public Health. Information Officer Joseph Hopkins said there are now 13 active coronavirus cases in the valley, one of which is hospitalized. Contact tracing has identified others who were in close contact. The active cases are in isolation, while the contacts are in quarantine. Hopkins said that active cases are released from isolation as they recover and direct contacts are released after they complete their two-week quarantine without symptoms.

The number of active cases is increasing, according to health officials. Ravalli County had 1 active case in March, 4 cases in April, 9 in May, 17 in June and so far in July, Ravalli County has had 26 active cases. As a result, the public is urged to follow the public health recommendations of wearing a mask when in public or being with people, keep that 6-foot social distancing and wash your hands often.
