The crowds kept coming this weekend for the 10th annual Bitterroot Celtic Games and Gathering. The two-day celebration of heritage and competition was at the Daly Mansion on the northeastern edge of Hamilton. The Hamilton High School parking lot for those riding the free shuttle buses to the gathering was full Saturday afternoon. The paid parking lot at the mansion was also bulging at the seams. The attendees were treated to dance competition and athletic prowess with heavy things. Lots of music - from the Harp Twins and TopHouse to Swagger and all the pipe and drum bands. There were language classes and cooking demonstrations, along with dogs herding sheep. The assorted clans each had tents where you could get tips on tracing your heritage. And, the weather was perfect. Congratulations to all the volunteers who made this celebration possible.
