Weather permitting, the Bitterroot National Forest crews will be replacing a bridge over Rye Creek on Forest Service Road 311 starting this week. The new bridge will allow flood waters to pass under the road and will let fish more easily pass through. The project at Mile Post 20 is at the intersection of Rye Creek road 75. The heavy equipment parked on the road will require closing of the road, possibly up to two weeks. Tod McKay of the Bitterroot National Forest said signs will be posted. If you need more information, contact the Darby Ranger Station at 821-3913.
