The annual tradition that is the Kiwanis Food Drive again came through with an abundance of food for those who really need it at this time of year.

The Bitterroot Kiwanis took over the Hamilton High School Commons room Friday morning (see photo), and with the help of volunteers including Key Club members from Stevensville and Hamilton, filled boxes of food for individual families in the Bitterroot Valley. Most of the work was done before noon Friday.

Caleb Senn reported that 292 families received boxes this year for a total of over a thousand people who were helped by the food drive.

Senn also thanked the Greater Ravalli Foundation - Stock Farm and the Rapp Family Foundation for financial support.

The Kiwanis Christmas Food Drive is one of the oldest continuous support networks at Christmas in the valley.

KLYQ wishes a very Merry Christmas to all the Kiwanis members, Key Club members and other volunteers who make this possible!
