A panel discussion on Bitterroot water issues will be Wednesday, September 25, at the Corvallis Grange Hall. The free session, "Past, Present and Future," is presented by the Bitterroot Water Forum and the doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the presentations starting at 7 p.m. Coordinator Katie Vennie said the topics include basic water rights and adjudication, history of cooperative work between organizations responsible for Bitterroot River water management and a general outlook for the future, including dams and the CSKT Water Compact.

Speakers will be from the Montana Departments of Natural Resources and Conservation and Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Painted Rocks Water Users Association and Blake Creek Project Management. Sponsors include Painted Rocks Water Users Association, Ravalli County Farm Bureau, Corvallis Grange, Ravalli County Right to Farm and Ranch, Bitterroot Trout Unlimited, Montana Trout Unlimited, Bitterroot River Irrigation District. The Corvallis Grange is just west of the Woodside intersection on US 93 on Dutch Hill Road. The hall is on the north side of that road.
