The Corvallis Blue Devil volleyball team took the Western Class A Divisional championship Saturday afternoon with a five-set win over Butte Central 15-25, 25-15, 25-19, 22-25 and 15-13.

It was the second time the two teams met during the tournament at Hamilton High School.

Corvallis entered the championship game by beating, in order, Polson, Columbia Falls and Butte Central. Hamilton was eliminated after losing to Whitefish Thursday, defeating Frenchtown Friday and then losing to Columbia Falls in the double-elimination tournament. Stevensville also was eliminated, losing to Frenchtown and Polson.

Meanwhile in Libby, The Florence Falcons came out on top in the Western B volleyball tournament, defeating Loyola Sacred Heart in four sets, 22-25, 25-9, 25-19 and 25-13.

Florence defeated Bigfork, Loyola Sacred Heart and Anaconda to reach the Championship match.
