It's a Corvallis American Legion Post 91 tradition. About a dozen servicemen from America's military march along the town's Main Street from the Corvallis High School to the end of the street. Then, followed by a single Army Jeep, they turn around and march back, while recorded march music plays in the background.

And, this year, the majority of students of the Corvallis elementary schools lined both sides of the route, waving hand-made signs and flags, cheering on the small group of marchers. It was cold, but the sun was shining on the happy kids' faces in a traditional small town commemoration in the Bitterroot Valley.
