The 2017 Ravalli County Fair is about a year away, but the contest for a theme for the exposition is underway. And the public is encouraged to enter.

Themes are used for promoting the fair and for people designing entries for the fair parade. Some from the past years: "Western Nights, Carnival Lights"; "Sew it, Grow it, Show it"; and "4H Pride and an 8-Second Ride."

The deadline for entries is Friday, November 4 at 5 p.m. at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds office, 100 Old Corvallis Road in Hamilton.

Winner of the contest will be decided by the Fair Board at their November 7th meeting. The winner will get a 2017 Fair season pass and VIP parking, among other prizes.

Make sure to include your name and contact information.
