You may have noticed that Hamilton's Main Street is even brighter for the holiday season this year.

The Hamilton Volunteer Firemen replaced about 500 lights on the lamppost snowflakes and lit them Thursday evening, November 20. Then, members of the Hamilton Downtown Association grabbed some tall ladders and outdoor extension cords and wrapped white lights around most of the trees on the first three blocks of Main Street November 21.

The lighting project, under the direction of Mary Marsh of Bella Boutique, was paid for by proceeds from Daly Days and the annual HDA Crab Feed.

The HDA will have special family-oriented events every Friday leading up to Christmas. First up - the Community Christmas Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. November 28.
