Executive Director Amy Allison Leaving Missoula’s Poverello Center
From Angel at ALT 101.5 FM
We received some very bittersweet news today. After five years with Missoula's homeless shelter, Executive Director Amy Allison is leaving her position with the Poverello Center this summer. We're proud and excited for her, but at the same time we'll miss working with her on community projects.
In a letter to the public, Amy expressed her pride and love for her work at the Pov, saying she gave plenty of notice purposely, to ensure that the right person take her place as the Executive Director. You can read her heartfelt letter in full here.
In a Poverello Instagram post announcing her departure, Amy shared the following: “I am so proud of the work the Pov team has accomplished over the last five years. We have worked as a team to provide food, shelter, help and hope to all who have asked, and we have made a real impact in Missoula. This work has been truly fulfilling and I am honored to have had this opportunity.”
On a personal note, I've worked with Amy on a variety of projects and promotions over the past 5 years and she's a dream to work with. Amy is very organized, smart and friendly, and obviously cares very deeply about Poverello clients and the Missoula community. She will be a tough leader to replace, I do hope I will have the opportunity to work with her in other capacities moving forward. We wish her the very best of luck and want to extend our gratitude for her dedication to the Missoula community and for her deep compassion.
The Pov's Board of Directors will begin accepting applications in mid-March. Find the job description, qualifications, and how to apply here.
