A project that started earlier this year was finished last week as streetlights were installed along Fairgrounds Road on the northeast side of Hamilton. The lighting project included high intensity lights at intersections, along with sidewalks and landscaping. However, only orange traffic cones marked where the smaller decorative lights were to go. The problem, according to Hamilton Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf, was massive spring and summer flooding in the Midwest at the location of the factory that manufactures the lightpoles. The poles were finally completed and sent to Montana. Within a few days after arrival, the lights were installed and are now lighting the way.
