Fishing Activity Explodes Sunday on the Bitterroot River
Near the Bitterroot River Sunday, cars were parked along the roadside on county roads like Victor Crossing and parking of vehicles and trailers was a little crowded on the Montana FWP fishing Access Sites Sunday afternoon. Those who enjoy the sport were along the banks and in the river parade of rafts which were filled with anglers who were looking for success as we approach the annual Squala fly hatch. The sunny spring weather brought out the crowds, especially with the lack of other public activities due to the COVID-19 threat.
By the way, some experts say the cold nights in the Bitterroot means that anglers will have better luck from late morning into the afternoon.
