Phase two of Montana's reopening is scheduled for June 1st. We'll take the next step in loosening the restrictions on restaurants, bars, breweries, casinos and more. Part of Gov. Bullock's press conference this week included June 1st as a marker for reopening Montana's entrances to Yellowstone National Park. Right now, the Montana entrances remain closed causing some inconveniences for visitors.

Many have also been wondering about the reopening of Glacier National Park. The park shut down in late March because of COVID-19 concerns. As of now, GNP isn't scheduled to open until after June 1st. The hope is that the park will be able to reopen sometime in early June. Crews are working on plowing the Going-to-the-Sun-Road. As you can see from Glacier's Facebook post, there's been plenty of snow removal to keep crews busy.

An article from quotes an email from Glacier National Park Office of the Superintendent Executive Assistant Teagan Tomlin as saying “The park continues to work with the State of Montana and local officials from Flathead County, Glacier County, and the Blackfeet Tribe regarding reopening Glacier National Park.”
