Hamilton Broncs Begin Football Playoffs with A Week Off
The Hamilton Broncs defeated the Polson Pirates convincingly last Friday 57 to 18. To say the wind was a factor in the game would be an understatement. Polson, at one point, kicked a punt and the ball landed 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage!
With the regular season completed, the Broncs' win-loss record has earned the team a bye in the first weekend of Class A football playoffs. The Broncs, along with Dillon, Miles City and Laurel, will sit out the Saturday playoffs and will play the winners of the November 2nd games on November 9. Hamilton will face either Frenchtown or Whitefish. Other playoff games are Libby vs Butte Central, Havre vs Lewistown (Fergus County) and Billings Central vs Glendive (Dawson County). For the rest of the season, the Class A playoffs are on Saturday afternoons. Hamilton will host their November 9th game. KLYQ will have live play-by-play of the Broncs. If necessary, we will pre-empt the UM Grizzly games and join those contests after the end of each high school game.
