The Hamilton Broncs staged a rally in the final quarters to defeat the Dillon Beavers in Class A high school football Friday night. The final score was Hamilton 37 Dillon 14.The game at the Hamilton stadium was almost cancelled due to wildfire smoke, but at noon Friday the decision was made to go ahead.

Both teams had been undefeated until the September 18 contest. Hamilton scored first in the game, but could not convert the point after attempt, but they had a successful field goal later in the quarter and led 9 to 0 going into the 2nd period. Both teams scored in the second quarter and at the hamilton, the Broncs were ahead of the Beavers 16 to 7.

In the third quarter, Dillon scored early and Hamilton scored late with the score 23 to 14 going into the final period. Hamilton took over the scoring from then on and ended the game with a score of 37 to 14. Their next game will be in Frenchtown Friday, September 25.
