High school basketball season is well underway in this new year. The Hamilton Broncs and Lady Broncs held a double-header evening against the Frenchtown boys and girls teams at the Hamilton High gym Thursday, January 9. The boys played their match first, and Hamilton trailed Frenchtown after the first quarter 14 to 11, but got into a scoring rhythm and led 23 to 18 at the half. The teams were two points apart at the end of three, but Hamilton extended their lead to win the game 54 to 46.

Next on the floor at Dale Berry court, the Hamilton Lady Broncs faced Frenchtown and led throughout the game. At the end of one, they were ahead 14 to 6, at the half Hamilton was ahead 25 to 17 and they wrapped up the game with the final score Hamilton Lady Broncs 47 - Frenchtown Lady Broncs 28.
