Hamilton Broncs Smother Browning in Smoke Delayed Football
The final score was Hamilton 57-Browning 22 in a twice delayed high school football game Saturday.
The non-conference game had been postponed Friday night, September 8, because of the bad wildfire smoke in Hamilton. The first plan was to play in Butte Saturday at 1 p.m., but Saturday morning, the weather had blown some of the smoke out of Hamilton and game was rescheduled to Haynes Field in Hamilton at 4 p.m. School officials decided to also offer free admission to the game.
The Browning Indians scored first, but Hamilton came back quickly and led throughout the rest of the game. At the half the Broncs led 33 to 6. The scoring continued for both teams in the second half, but Hamilton dominated with the final score Hamlton 57 Browning 22.
Hamilton will travel to Polson for a game next Friday, September 15.
