The Hamilton Broncs will continue into semi-final State A football playoffs next Saturday, with a Halloween afternoon win over the Sidney Eagles 24 to 6. Friday night, Laurel defeated Frenchtown in one of the other quarter-final Class A games and will travel to Hamilton for the November 7th afternoon game.

The Hamilton-Sidney game was a a defensive battle, especially in the first half. No score in the first quarter and Hamilton scored its first touchdown in the initial minute of the 2nd quarter and added a field goal later in that period. At the half, Hamilton led 10 to 0.

The third quarter saw the Broncs stopping Sidney twice in goal line defense efforts and then the Broncs scored again, leading 17 to 0 at the start of the 4th quarter.
