Hamilton Council to Discuss Free Parking

The fate of 90-minute parking in downtown Hamilton will be discussed at Tuesday's City Council meeting.

The council will have a public hearing on a proposed ordinance to do away with the timed parking, but retain some reserved parking spaces, and also continue enforcement of motorists who don't park properly - such as not staying inside the lines.

Other items on the agenda at City Hall on South 2nd Street include:

  • Proposed parking agreement at Westview Center for proposed Bitterroot College facility.
  • Authorization of Hamilton Fire Department to buy another truck.
  • Request from Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology to place a well in River Park.
  • Contract for Wastewater Treatment Plant work.
  • Contracts for road work on Fairgrounds Road, Pine Street, Parker Street and Baker Street.
  • Contract for continuing city curb, gutter and sidewalk project.

    • The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Community Room, upstairs at City Hall.
