Saturday afternoon, the Hamilton Lady Broncs closed out their regular high school basketball season undefeated with a win over visiting Dillon 54 to 27. Their win-loss record gives them a bye in the Southwestern District tournament next weekend. The girls are 10 wins and 0 losses on the conference and 17 and 1 on the season. And, at the time of this report, the Hamilton boys were leading Dillon in their February 10 game at Dillon.

It was Senior Night and the final minutes of the game had the seniors out on the floor, continuing their winning plays. By quarters, Hamilton led 14 to 8 at the end of the first quarter, and at the half they led 28 to 12. Third Quarter saw a scoring run with Hamilton leading 40-16 to begin the final quarter. And the final tally was Hamilton 54 Dillon 27. The District tournament for Southwestern boys and girls teams will start Thursday afternoon in Hamilton with lots of athletes, parents and fans crowding into Hamilton for the action. Both Hamilton teams have earned "byes" in the round of play and will play back-to-back Friday.
